Well, could be many different contributin factors. Temperature, disease, mites, bacteria, or maybe something in the enclosure that's making them uncomfortable.

Final Update: Found my queen dead early today.

How in the world do you guys get these colonies started. I think this was my 4th attempt and I think I've lost my motivation to continue with this hobby.

Maybe try another species. Or buy a colony that already has around 30 workers.
