Sorry in advance if I already posted this thread - I first wrote this on my phone and my user CP said it wasn't posted when I couldn't find this. If this IS my first time posting this - Just ignore this message!

So, I'm planning on getting a Brachymyrmex sp., and I don't know whether to put them in my garage or bedroom, here are the pros (+) and cons (-) of each

Bedroom:
+Controlled Temperature
+Often dark, although there is usually a small bedside light
+Easier to view
+Easier to feed
-Occasional Lights
-Noise
-Air Conditioned

Garage:
+No Air Conditioner
+Much warmer
+Temperature closer to outside temperature
+Very dark most of the time
-Insanely hot in summer time
-Cars constantly moving in and out, making lots of noise
-Harder to feed
-Harder to observe

Of course, the observing isn't a huge deal to me, but can be nice.

Thanks in advance, and be sure to vote in the poll at the top of this page! If you have other ideas for rooms for my to put my ants in, be sure to tell me!

here is what I think. IF the garage gets very hot in summer, DO NOT put them there. they will fry. in the wild, ants can live during these very hot summer days because the soil is much much cooler and it protects them. the formicarium does not do that. however, I do think that the garage could be very beneficial for hibernation.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
