Re: what is the most craziest thing you feed your ants?
Reptile keepers get used to this. Its a food source like any other. :D Mice don't get used to it. Feed a pre-killed mouse for all I care, but letting a mouse get stung to death by ants is just as abusive as letting dog or cat be stung to death by ants. You're right they dont, it only happens to the...

Re: Opinions on Laws.
I have to believe that the members of this forum are smart enough to realize why moving ants out of there natural range is a bad thing after seeing how RIFA has taken over since their introduction to the southern US area. If someone lacks the intelligence to see this im not sure what to tell them ex...

Re: Plastic Formicariums?
I cant come up with a reason it would not be ok, as long as it was setup right for them. Ive seen plenty of formicariums made from kritter keepers and such.Synedge wrote:For the Solenopsis geminata species.
Is it okay to use plastic as a formicarium? Tupperware and plastic storage bins specifically.

Re: Methods to catch queen ants
My favorite place to look (also the place i catch 95% of my queens, ) is along the cement curb that follows the edge of most parking lots and roads. I find it is easier to see queens because they are usually dark colored, and the cement is a light color. This way there is contrast, and the eye catch...

Re: Live chat suggestion
Mike really knows his stuff! Yes, a scheduled live chat might work or if we could rally some willing moderators to be on at a particular time on rotation we could have a chat available 24-7. Yes, maintaining the quality and family-friendly thing would be best. :geek: :D im willing to be on, and mod...
