Any Formica worker cocoons will do. This is a Formica social parasite queen, from either the sanguinea or rufa group. A good picture of the front of the head will tell that much at least. She will need Formica pupae from another colony if you want to keep her. Unlike single Lasius social parasites, Formica will open cocoons. can you ...
