More likely the vibrations caused by said, loud music etc.
I'd assume it'd habe to be pretty loud to stress out a queen or workers etc.

That's super unfortunate! I actually fed my larger Iridomyrmyx colony yesterday? Bit of honey, scared the crap out of them, but they should be ok! Unless they drown in the honey....I will be removing the honey tommorrow, so they should be fine and fed :D :lol: The hobby is very hit or miss I've found.

Congratulations on Maya's first workers and Terra pupae. My Iridomyrmyx queen "Suzy" got her first nanitic yesterday aswell! It's really a very exiting time for antkeepers at this early stage. They can possibly be good, but more Often then not, they will the brood until workers arrive, and then fight to do the death.

I'd say it looks like a Camponotus or Formica ant, but I'd wait for a second opinion.
