G'day,
I'd suggest a Formica, or maybe even a Lasius. Shouldn't make too much of a difference.

Getting rid of water vapour on glass
Hey all,
How do I get rid of water vapour on the glass of my formicarium? It clouds the glass as well. There are currently no ants inside it, but will come soon. Any ideas?

Keep them in a test tube or whatever SMALL container you have. It is only appropriate to move them in after they have more than 20 workers.

Hm, maybe you should change the setup. Mould is pretty dangerous, so that has to be dealt with.

The lifespan of an ant goes from around 2 months to a year, depending on the species. Post a pic about the deformity.
