Get as accurate a measurement as possibly with a ruler that uses the metric system. The accuracy that goes into an ID request is relative to the accuracy that comes out of it.

They are claustral queens. Honey will not make them lay eggs.

Another Pheidole queen, and I think the workers are Paratrechina longicornis.

You honestly don't need to collect hundreds of them. Some queens will die, but most will survive.

Solenopsis invicta basically mates year-round, so long as conditions are favorable.
