Re: Australia, NSW, 18/3/2017

Hey guys! I found this one at night, and it measures about 1cm long (not including the wings). I think the genera might be Camponotus, but if anyone has any ideas what species it could be that would be great (or let me know if I'm wrong). Pictures at http://imgur.com/a/1FSnr Also any guesses as to ...

Re: Waking up/warming up my ants?

This year will be my first year waking up ants from hibernation, and I wanna make sure I'm doing it right, so I have a few questions! I don't see this process talked about in too much detail and I'm always very over-worried about doing things right. It's almost time to take my ants out of hibernati...

Re: Unprepared beginner?!

Sorry for spamming, im not sure what the temperament difference would be between the two, like food, temperature, etc... Either way it's now been day two, and three workers have emerged and actively forage in the makeshift environment I've created, I wish I could afford the proper equipment, but wo...

Re: Northeast US Nuptial flights

Hey all, I'm gearing up to begin capture of queens relatively soon, and was curious as to what I could expect and when. I know Prenolepis Imparis should be in the middle of their mating season, and I believe Camponotus season starts soon in this area. I was wondering if there is a more specific tim...
