http://imgur.com/svQvAOw She was caught on 8/27/16 on a curb near a side street I'm sure shes a member of the solenopsis genus, but there are 11 species of solenopsis in CA. Might want to look into this. Only two of the established species are medium-sized and dark. I was also leaning toward the S....

I have a B. depilis queen in a test tube. but she does not have eggs yet. I have no idea how many worker sshe should have before I move her. Suggestions?

Note: this is my first time keeping ants, I also have Tetramorium going strong in another tube.

Seems I forgot coloration, orange-ish with yellow bands on her gaster.
