6mm large headed queen

This is a black queen with brown jaws. Her head I large and she was caught to day in cape town.

It might spread. You could take a glue gun and fill in the crack and wilst the glue is still hot take a straight object and flatten/spread the glue.

Any thing to know about messor founding?

Hi all

My friend caught a messor queen and gave it to me.
I know they are simple to keep but some where on the forum I read they sometimes foraged during founding so I have her a small out world. I offered some honey and sesame seeds. Is there any thing else I should know?

So I have this Pheidole colony with 5 queens and 300 - 600 workers. I fed them some peanut butter. So I have a small lepisiota colony and apon coming home after a holiday the furthest most chamber of their wooden formicarium was completely molded... They were raised in multiple different nests because they are all home made and molded. I'm busy making a dirt nest for them in a small tic tac mint ...
