Re: Ant proof outworld ideas?

What did you use before? For my tetramorium I found that just rubbing alcohol and baby powder didn't work. What does work is dipping a dry cotton ball into some dry baby powder and dabbing it around the rim of the outworld. it is a lot slicker and more difficult for them to climb. I had an outworld...

I wouldn't make a guess just based on coloration, but I can hardly see the ants.
Yea you’re right, the ones I have though are like jet black, a completely different color. Although it could be a different species...

Re: This is one of the best moments of my life!

Sorry to burst be a wet blanket here, but shedding wings unfortunately does not always guarantee that the queen mated. :( Continue hoping though, but if she hasn’t laid eggs by now (and this does vary by species, some don’t lay eggs till after hibernation) she may not be mated... Keep taking care of...

The queens are together in a test tube tho.
I had never heard of anything but if they’re already together just keep them.

Re: Two queens in a formicarium?

Yes, tetramorium (pavement ants) are not polygynous, and will almost definitely kill each other if introduced to each other.

Re: Reduced price - "scratch & dent" products

Any products still left? I would be interested in buying them. If so which ones. (Specifically the tetramorium hybrid nests, test tube portals, and maybe the test tube racks). We don't manufacture the old test tube portals and racks anymore. We don't have any of them in inventory. The manufacturing...

I just make little tubes using heavy "contruction paper" that slide on and off the test tubes.

Ok, I’ll try that
