Lasius Neoniger

I have two Lasius Neoniger colonies and they are both starting to act sluggish. Does anybody else have any Lasius is colonies around the southeast United States that are starting to hibernate yet?

Or on a different note is it too early for them to start hibernating?

I have killed many niantics with honey when the species produces very small workers we begin with by drowning. I'd use honey and water with the absolute smallest drop possible. Use the sharp end of a toothpick or something similar.

Maybe you have wild carpenter ants in the home and you are finding those. :? Just a thought. I have some camponotus ants and Vaseline works for me.
