I think it's a Solenopsis geminata or tropical fire ant not certain I'm also a beginner :lol:

You really don't have to check on her, but if you want to, you can check on her once or twice a week.

I was emptying my sunflower pot and I found am ant queen with nanitics. I have now out her in a test tube with sugar but is there anything else I need to do or am I doing something wrong. The queen is laid niger I think you'll be fine. Lasius Niger is a pretty easy species to keep. Just remember to...
