Re: My ants aren't laying eggs. PLZ HELP!!!
The best thing to do, is to wait for her to lay eggs. If she doesn't lay eggs, she's going to die. What you should ask yourself is: Do you want her to die in the wild, tossed out of her home, or do you want to keep her, so that she might lay eggs, or might die? I've had several wueen that didn't lay...

Lasius Umbratus Journal (My first One)
5/14/2018 I caught a Lasius Unbratus queen while mowing the lawn. Later, I flipped over some rocks to get some Laisus workers (Niger/Neoniger), and brood (Even some insect that they were farming!). I didn't have a big enough outworld for the introduction process (http://www.formiculture.com/topic/32...

Is this a social Parasite?
I was observing a Tetramorium colony in my front yard, when I found this 8mm queen weacing through the nest entrances. She doesn't have wings, and I think she might be a some sort of social parasite. Please identify. If she is a social parasite, please tell me what to do. Thanks! https://imgur.com/g...

I think that the pupae are still alive, and that they were just moved into the test tube for better humidity conditions.

Re: Queens trying to escape
How are the test tubes set up? Do they have a lot of space in them? For now, i would recommend just adding more cotton, as they could just be trying to get comfortable.keep and eye on them to make sure they don't escape. They are the typical setup, about 3/4 water, cotton stopper, small space, then...
