Re: Prenolepis sp. in Vancouver

Hmm Ya that’s weird that lasius nigers on there. The only lasius species I’ve found in BC is flavus. There is a ton of formica here in bc and a lot of tetramorium too. The only thing with formica is that f.pacifica dominates where I live though and that species must be hard to keep because they NEVE...

Tetramorium Queen; is it normal?

I have a tetramorium Queen that has laid eggs three months ago and they are only starting to pupate now. The Queens test tube is getting a bit moldy but not enough that I'm going to move them. I don't really want to feed her when her first workers arrive through the test tube because it's moldy and ...

Re: Tetramorium omni nest question

Thanks, I knew that the moisture percentage means how much you water it I just wanted to know how much thirty to forty percent would be. I don't want the tetra to bury into the soil though so I assume I just put in enough that they can bring back to the chambers to make it more comfortable; correct?...

This video - https://youtu.be/Kng0lrxgvr4 says that with the omni nest for tetramorium you should put a digging medium and have the moisture level of 30-40% I don't know what a digging medium or what the moistsure perse...
