Hi everyone!
Does anybody know if Messor Barbarus exist in Ireland. I'm almost sure they're in the UK and we have pretty similar climates? If not does anyone know of any polymorphic species of ant here as this is what I'm really looking for.
Thanks!

I've notices mould starting to grown along the edges of my grouted outworld. How do i kill it without harming the ants? I was thinking about drying it out with baby powder?

Re: What queen specie is this ?
Nevermind. I did some research and turns out she's physogastric. Apparantley this means because she has enlarged egg producing organs thus allowing a faster rate of production of eggs . Does anyone know why this happens? Im just curious.
Thanks
(P.S If im wrong can someone please let me know)

I found this queen. At first I thought it was lasius niger but now I'm thinking something else lasius maybe because it's faster is a lot bigger than that of a l. Niger. Any ideas?
