My queen is not laying any new eggs
Hi all!
My queen is not laying any eggs.
She is still alive but won't eat anything.
She went in hibernation.
Outside there are ants running around. So I know it is time.
What am I doing wrong?
I have them in my bedroom. Is the temp to cold?
Do I need a heatstick?
Please help!

Let's try it again!
My former ants colonie did not wake up from there winter sleep. Today was the first day of the prenuptial flight.
My wife rushed outside to catch them.
We stopped at 4 queens.
Think this is a lasius niger queen.

Re: What species should I look out for in the Netherlands
Hi. I found my ants near a park. I found 6 of 7 lanius negar queens. In 15min. First time looking.
Once you have 1 the rest will follow.
They are small but you will see them clearly.
Even see them fly.
Planning to go hunting this year
Hope this will help.

Re: The most humane way to kill feeders
I only have 1 ant colony, which is currently just a queen and some brood, but I am in possession of a fruit fly culture. I was just wondering, are there any types of ways that I could kill a fruit fly for feeding painlessly? Basically, what is the most human way that I can kill my feeders? (btw, so...
