Argentine Ants

Hi! Is there anyone out there who has kept an Argentine Ant colony or have any information on keeping them at all? I have searched online and found nothing, and I don't think they'are commonly kept, so any information will be extremely helpful.

Re: AntsCanada ANT FLAG CONTEST (2 yr Anniversary of ACAF)

I just saw the video, I feel really bad about the Jaw-Breakers and can honestly say that they were my favorite colony on the channel. R.I.P. Jaw-Breakers. Also, I wish everybody luck on the flag contest! But I am going to say that I think Mikey should kill the, "savage" Black Crazy Ant colony. This ...

Re: Anyone from Arizona, USA?

Hi! I'm from Arizona State, (Phoenix to be exact,) too, and though I am currently on vacation, I am hoping to become an Arizona GAN farmer. If I do end up catching a Tetramorium queen, (Or any queen ant for that matter,) I will post it on the forum.

Re: URGENT EMERGENCY PLZ READ SORRY FOR LONG STORY OF ANT

It is possible that the queen may have only laid a portion of her eggs, and if that is the case then she could lay some more. However, if she has laid all her eggs, it may be difficult to keep her alive long enough to lay more. In the wild, the queen lays her first batch of eggs, feeds them with her...

(yes I've seen the video for how to post pictures, it just doesn't work on my computer for some reason.) Anyw...

Can you feed ants Phoenix Worms?

Hi everyone! I recently caught a queen ant in my home in AZ, USA, and was wondering what the best food for a young ant colony would be? I came up with Phoenix worms, since they're cheap, (more or less), and don't have very much chitin. Plus they're really nutritious, and last about1-2 months. What w...

Queen ant identification

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum so I apologize for any mistakes I may make. About 4-5 days ago, near June 30, I found a queen ant in my pool in Phoenix, AZ. I put her in a test tube setup and she seems to be doing okay. She is yellowish in color, with a brown head and thorax, and brown stripes. S...
