Re: Please pray for my queens.

I know how concerned you must feel. I just had one of the most heart breaking happen. A large drop of water drained from the cotton and drowned one of my queens. I felt horrible about it. :( If you still have her dont throw her away! She is alive! It is super hard to drown ants. Many species can la...

Thank you so much! I am new and will try and remember that in the future.

Is there any value in hanging on to this guy or should i just let him go?

Thank you,
Nick
He will die in the next day or two. You can let him go.

Re: Test Tube Switch

it hasn't happened yet, but I want to be prepared. What do I do if one of my Test Tube setups gets moldy? Especially if she has eggs. You have a couple options. either, take another test tube, tape it to the other (with a few pin holes for breathability). Shine a light on the old tube and cover the...

Re: A few questions about making a home-made grout outworld

Ok so just so you guys know, I'm 14 so I know I most likely need adult supervision for this. Another thing is I don't need answers in a rush because I don't need it immediately. Ok so the rant starts... Let's see, I guess to start off I'll mention that I already have an AntsCanada Omni-Nest large t...

Re: Ants congregating in outworld

I too have been noticing that my tetramorium ants have one chamber almost filled with trash. They take up about half the nest right now. What can I do to get them to move the trash out? I also have a hybrid nest.

Re: Eggs not seeming to be developing.

The point of hibernation is to let them be cold. If it turns out that you need to hibernate, place the tube in a room that stays roughly the temp outside. (Garage, basement) never place them actually outside. Im not sure, but I think development does stop.

Re: Camponotus castaneus....

Any information is much appreciated but I live in Tennessee in the US. Camponotus castaneus is the main species I want and I have done my research on them...trust me :D . So I guess I'm looking for when and where would be a good time to look for them in my area. It's different in every state (kinda...

Re: Ant queens with workers/eggs

Sorry if this is wrong place again. I'm living in Spain, Zaragoza. I'm planning to move away so i can't keep this queens or made them a respectable home. So instead of letting them fail and die i'm trying to give them (i'm not interested in selling). So if somebody near me is interested in Ant farm...
