Ya pretty sure this is not camponotis. I have have 9 families of them. I was thinking Formica mabey. I would like a second opinion. If I need better pics just say.

She moved the dirt to manage the humidity.

I know for my Camponotis she would move her eggs to one side, and move the larva to the other, then take some cotton and move that around.

The other questions someone else with more XP will have to help you with.

Ok, you need change out that plastic cap with cotton.
It will allow an air exchange.
