Re: I need help to indentify my colony

I've seen my ants spraying formic acid to kill insects. So what you're saying is that only ants with acidopores can spray acid? Not necessarily, only that they have an anatomical feature which would disqualify Tapinoma . They may be Plagiolepis or Nylanderia . I'm puzzled right now: when I looked u...

It looks like they have acidopores, so they would be something from Formicinae and not Dolichoderinae.

Re: I need help to indentify my colony

Thanks everyone ! I looked up Tapinoma and the most matching one is the Tapinoma Sessile. These aren't ghost ants their gasters are not translucid. The pale ones you see in the photo are the youngest. The problem is that I don't really know if it's actually Tapinoma Sessile but if you have any other...

I need help to indentify my colony

Hey everyone! I have had my Queen since June, I found her one night running around and I knew it wasn’t just a normal ant, so I locked her up in a pen with water and some honey and she started laying eggs, I now have a healthy colony of 40-50 individuals and a lot of larvaes and eggs. Re: Ant Identificarion

This is the best shots I could have gotten, I thought about getting the queen out of the tube but that's too much it would stress her a lot

I can't really see the ant in the photo that well.. Is it possible to get a closer one?
Unfortunately I can't get a closer one (My camera couldn't reach further) but I did give the description, isn't it sufficient?

Ant Identificarion

Hey, last week I found this small queen in my room (She was getting rid of her wing) so I took a pen and prepared it for the queen (She's moving freely in the pen's cavity don't worry, I'll keep her there until I find a test tube (They're not available near me, I've even tried to go to a nearby flor...
