Re: Colorado Nupital Flights

Thoughts?

Argentine Ants, how to collect

Hi, I was wondering what the best way to catch an Argentine ant queen was. I know they live around my area, but I don't know how to go about catching them. It seems they don't have nuptial flights so I couldn't catch them then and I have never seen a queen just walking along the surface.. :/ Please ...

Re: Colorado Nupital Flights

Niice, I just found another tetramorium queen :D :D That means I have three of them now!

BTW, OmegaDamian, you want to make sure whether they're claustral or semiclaustral, some Pogo.'s like barbatus are claustral and some aren't like occidentalis.

Re: Colorado Nupital Flights

I found a Pogonomyrmex queen today!! :D I was pretty exited, she was really large and had excellent coloring but I already have a colony of them so let her be and just observed for a bit.
