You have to either dig them up or find them on the surface while their spreading the colony. This is due to them latin in the nest. Where do you find Argentine ants in colorado?
There are a bunch in the Westminster and Louisville area... they can often be found near pogonomyrmex mounds

Re: Colorado Nupital Flights

Hi all, I don't know if anyone still is paying any attention to this thread but does anyone know how to catch an Argentine Ant Queen? I've been trying really hard and I can't seem to find any, so I'm thinking that maybe I'll go and try to dig one up because they're invasive...

Thoughts?

Argentine Ants, how to collect

Hi, I was wondering what the best way to catch an Argentine ant queen was. I know they live around my area, but I don't know how to go about catching them. It seems they don't have nuptial flights so I couldn't catch them then and I have never seen a queen just walking along the surface.. :/ Please ...

Re: Colorado Nupital Flights

This is sweet, I haven't checked in for a while and it awesome how many people have found queens 😁 I have seen a bunch of flights and about for pogonomyrmex occidenalis queens foraging. I was in Austria for a while and saw soo many queens there including some beautiful camponotus queens who were bla...
