There is also a separate connection point built specifically for the outworld that comes with it. It is used if you choose to connect the outworld directly to the top of the Omni Small via scre...

Re: 3D Ant Nests

What if you made it modular Yeah the "small building blocks" I mentioned in my earlier post would be a modular approach. We could design a dozen or more different shapes/angles of interlocking tubing and several chamber options with 1-4 interlocking ports and then let people just create their own. ...

I think it would be kind of cool, but hydration would be difficult. https://www.buzzfeed.com/roamingrosie/6-aluminum-anthill-art-sculptures-that-will-blow-y-h90i...

Watch out for small species though, they my escape through the hydration holes. To prevent this use a little bit of cotton to plug up th excess space.

Re: What if nobody wants my Ants?!?!

You can just release them. Find a suitable place around your house, neighborhood, etc., and set the test tube on the ground. They will eventually move out.

Re: Monomorium minimum. NEW COLONY.

I suspect they live longer than a year. I've had a Tetramorium sp E colony for 3.5 years now and they seem to be going strong. (Very similar to M. minimum . They would have to live long enough at least to create alates in order to preserve the species. Regarding your question hibernation, it is up t...

Re: Monomorium minimum. NEW COLONY.

They would appreciate a sugar-water test tube somewhere in the setup as well.

Re: Nest Size limiters for Hybrid Nest 2.0

Since the new hybrids are coming out and are so large, I think, for smaller colonies there should be a feature with "sliding doors" like the vertical omni, except you only have to push them down to close it, it may include clear plugs when done with the feature. Make it an optional feature please, ...
