Re: Which hybrid nest would be best?

The Formica nest is a good all-purpose nest. It works well for many species.

Re: ooper's Pogonomyrmex occidentalis colony (#1)

How did you like the Tar Heels one? I've been looking at them just to try out but mostly because I'm a hoarder of formicaria lol. I have AntsCanada gen1 Large and Small Camponotus and 2 gen2 Camponotus formicaria and then a few founding chambers that I made out of wood and plexi. Just wondering how...

Re: Omni Large

No it does not have one. You would just have to place it under or over the nest somewhere of your choosing. There is one hole for connecting poly-tubing and one hole that can be used as an exit to the included outworld. This exit is specifically for the outworld when the outworld is physically attac...

Re: Size test tube

The AntsCanada test tubes are 17x150. I'm not 100% sure if it will make a tight fit or not. You'll have to test it out. If it is too loose, you can wrap cotton, scotch tape, elastic, or something else around the end to help it fit tighter.

Speaking of, how do you hydrate the omni? It doesn't look like it has any hydration medium.
Yes Omni's use the thick blue sponge material as hydration medium. Water will typically need to be added a little more frequently to an Omni setup than a Hybrid setup.
