Re: Queen ID: Tampa Florida found Aug 1
I am not able to upload pictures, I am getting an error saying that the board quota has been reached. I didn't notice on my first post that the picture didn't go through. Any suggestion on how to get by this?

Queen ID: Tampa Florida found Aug 1
Can anyone identify this queen? She is incredibly small 4-5mm long. The nantics are barely 1mm if they stretch. The picture is not ideal but they are so small i can't get proper focus. Caught under trees in very late July very early August. Queens don't move much, nantics are little race cars. Anten...

Re: Date format GAN Signup
Format is YYYY-MM-DD
Because everyone uses that format. Mods, can you add this format description to the signup page so it isn't such a mystery?

Re: Date format GAN Signup
I am having the same problem. No idea what format it wants for the birth date, tried everything without luck.
By the way, why is my birthday important to the ant trade? I get an over-18 box maybe...

Re: Pogonomyrmex badius fully-claustral?
Is there a grass seed you would recommend for food? Haven't had much luck with variety pack bird seeds.

Pogonomyrmex badius fully-claustral?
As the subject asks, Are Pogonomyrmex badius (Florida Harvester Ant) queens fully-claustral? It seems that some Pogo's are and some aren't These guys have a full-sized head and mandibles which would make me think they were only semi. The only source I found says they are fully-claustral, but I don't...

Re: GAN project need Pogo's in Florida?
Ya, this dude is mailing queens without nantics which isn't very awesome... but that isn't what i am asking. I have queens, and can get more. I am wondering if people need them and I will go collect them for the future need. I would supply through GAN. If no one needs them, I don't see a point to co...

GAN project need Pogo's in Florida?
I know what a pain in the butt it can be to find queens, and I finally have some. My question is are people looking for Pogo's in Florida? I have enough for myself, but I can go collect some more for the GAN project if there is demand. If there isn't it seems silly and maybe harmful to go gather mor...
