I feed my colony every other day! like this:
Monday: Honey
Tuesday: Nothing
Wednesday: Small spoon on protein jelly
Thursday: Nothing
Friday: Insect's
Saturday & Sunday: Nothing
Then I just repeat! Hope you have a fun feeding time!

NO! Don't MIX!!!! !!!!!!! Never introduce a worker ant that did not originate from the colony! You can introduce eggs, larvae, and pupa from another colony! But it is extremely risky!

What type of nest are they in? In my opinion as long as the nest is hydrated it should be fine

There are many ways for a test tube transplant! The most efficient is to put the colony tube in a large container with another tube (Remember the talcum & Alcohol Barrier)! Yes, I have! But the problem is it will take longer than usual to move them in! I moved mine in when I was at 30-40ish workers! If you are anxious try buying a hybrid nest mini (note: 20-30 workers)! Then after a while move them into the camponotus nest!
