How long?

It's been over a week since I applied the first time to become a GAN farmer and so far I have only received a single email stating that they would wait for me to determine the species. I have applied a second time 3 days ago and still no response. What is going on?

Queen (?) - Ipswich QLD 29-11-2016

Found on a pavement (where I always seem to find them lol). She is being very quiet and still at the moment. Ruler in pic is in mm. Judging by the lovely spines she has as seen in the last 3 pics, I'm pretty sure she is a Polyrhachis sp, likely Polyrhachis australis. I'm hoping she is a Polyrhachis ...

Re: Building Formicarium

What tools do you have at your disposal? Arguably the easiest and cheapest method is to use grout.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

This method should also be able to be used with plaster and gypsum.

Queen (?) - Ipswich QLD 22-11-2016

Hey guys and gals This little beauty was found on the pavement in East Ipswich QLD a couple of days ago. I wasn't sure what I was looking at, but the large thorax caught my eye so I put my hand down to give the poor thing a bit of shade. She came up to my hand and started to drink the sweat off of m...

Diameter of ant tunnels

Hi guys and gals, Just an engineering question about the minimum diameter of passages required for ants to go through. I'm designing a part for formicariums and outworlds and my design has a hole for ants to traverse that is 6 mm diameter (a poofteenth away from 1/4 inch). Would this be wide enough ...
