I am going to keep a camponotus colony of likely floridanus or pennsylvanicus and I can only keep them in my room because the rest of the house has pesticides and other various reasons. My room is always about 80 degrees in the day and dips down to 68 at night, it doesn't fluctuate fast, like, it's ...

Re: Dead colony (Help)

What kind of a nest are they in? AC Hyrbid nest 2.0 Glass is glued to the top Well, once the ants are out you could shoot high pressure water through the holes to try to get it all out. Probably will do that. when I released them there were 7 living workers, and I checked the nest recently, they go...

Re: Dead colony (Help)

Ya, she could have died from parasites. Are you going to let the colony go, or are you going to kill them? I would prefer to let them go, I already had to kill a few of the workers in the outworld after separating each enclosure. It hurt so much :( those were my little friends (I am a weird person)...

Re: Dead colony (Help)

I don't think you need to, If they feel the need they will. Parasitic death?? Yellow Maggot looking things are latched onto the queen and are inside of it, and fungi is growing on her. I want to dispose of the colony, I felt so sick doing this but I plugged off all the tubing, some ants are trapped...
