Re: Hybrid Nest 2.0 Shipping Rates

I live in the USA and I’ve tried to see if my location is just high but everywhere I went in the US is the same and other countries are like $60 for The cheapest rate. And the rate for the old hybrid is only $10 for the same location. Hmm, I just tested it by putting a Hybrid 2.0 in my cart and wit...

Re: Hybrid Nest 2.0 Shipping Rates

Hello. I was excited to see that a new hybrid nest came out. I have one of the older ones and was waiting for this one as it is bigger. I was on the website with my card ready to buy it but then I see shipping rates as much as the product. Umm....the old nests are only $10 for shipping. I saw that ...

Re: Help!!!

You can leave a surplus of food and a test tube full of water, that would work. The ants wouldn't "overeat" to the point of death, although I do think they will eat a lot in order to have reserves. I've done it with mine. Just make sure they have enough water, that is the most important thing. I hav...

Re: I'm at a loss on this ant.

My guess would be Pseudomyrmex gracilis queen. I could be wrong though on if it is a queen or worker.

Re: Night queen swarm SW Florida

This is Camponotus sexguttatus, an introduced arboreal species quickly establishing itself in southern and central portions of the state. This looks oddly familiar to my queens also caught in south Florida, also swarming at night, also 9 mm, and also camponotus. How do I take care of arboreal? Here...

Re: South African Ant Queen(s) - Need help identifying

Definitely Pheidole. I recently caught a wild colony, but I caught around 11 queens (2 were injured, so 9 left) and that was just some of them. It was perfect because they were under a wooden slab so all I had to do was pick up the slab and then sweep them in. I did this once like 4 days ago, and a ...

Ok cool, sorry I didn't mention this before but the tanks I saw there were a decent size, not big.
Yea, like maybe a square foot? something that big would be perfect.
