If she's anything like my Camponotus penn. just get her to the ideal temperature and let the magic happen. It took about two weeks after I brought her out of hibernation but then her eggs hatched and the larvae seemed to grow very quickly and now I have one pupa and I'm sure the other 5 larvae are ...

Well I have a whole new clutch of eggs mixed in with my larvae now and they are all getting huge! Was looking for someone's input on the eggs to the left of the group. They look kinda dried out. Maybe they didn't survive hibernation? The workers are still moving them around though so I wasn't sure. ...

Here is a link to a post on another forum. It has the preferred food of many different species, including Camponotus pennsylvannicus . I've followed it for my ants, and they've accepted the recommended foods. I wouldn't be surprised if it worked for your ants as well. http://www.formiculture.com/to...

Just checked on my colony while I was in the basement working at my work bench. The queen just laid a fresh batch of eggs! Glad to know I'm doing something right haha.

The brood is growing! I must be feeding them things they like :lol: I'm keeping my eye on the fat larvae waiting for the day I check on them and find a pupae.

I rescued this colony as we were moving some stuff and redoing my driveway. The colony was displaced by the digging and resurfacing and I was able to capture the queen and around 20 workers.
