That's the queen's cohort. What do you mean exactly? A cohort is a group of individuals with something in common, so the cohort to an ant queen is a group of workers which constantly pamper and attend to her. Right now you will just want to keep her in a test tube for a good while until she has a few workers. 10 - 20 is normally a good number of workers but also depending on the size of your species.
