2 Queen Ants for ID Maryland

Both ants caught Summer 2020 on sidewalks in a suburban neighborhood. Overwintered in an unheated garage. Began laying eggs this Spring with first works emerging today. Ready to sell on GAN Network, but need species ID. Thank you :) Ant 1: Caught 2020 in Northern Maryland 7-8mm https://i.imgur.com/D...

Maryland March 5 4mm

I caught this queen when her colony decided to move her into a cereal box in my cupboard. I quickly tossed her and some workers in a ziplock with a test tube setup and she has started laying eggs after just a couple days.

Re: MD 10/19/16 ~5mm

That would make sense. I caught some Lasius claviger queens a couple days ago. The large head made me think queen, but the smaller gaster had me confused.

Multiple Queens 10/16 Maryland

There were a lot of ants flying yesterday afternoon. #13 I am guessing is Brachymyrmex depilis . # 12, and #14-#18 I am guessing are Lasius spp. I am hoping they aren't social parasites as I don't have colonies available for them to parasitize. Here are some of them emerging from a nest: http://i.im...

Re: Maryland, USA August and September Multiple Queens

I have some extra photos of the Lasius sp. queens 3 and 4. These are the first two queens I have to have nanitics. These are 2 of the 3 Lasius queens caught in August. The remaining August Lasius has no eggs/brood. I also caught a Tetramorium at the same time and it appears to only have a single egg...
