3D Printed Cube Formicarium
I designed and printed a modular formicarium, that looks pretty tasteful in my opinion. You can see my pictures and, if wanted, download the files on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3148547 It was a lot of fun designing. There's a Camponotus pennsylvanicus colony moving into mine now~...

Re: Oregon/Washington Ant Sightings Post Here!!!
I caught the exact same type of queen yesterday (6/23/18 - Vancouver, WA). I couldn't tell you the species, but I'm confident that is a Camponotus sp.

Re: Oregon/Washington Ant Sightings Post Here!!!
I haven't managed to find any yet, not that I have a lot of time to look. I haven't spotted any dead alates though which bothers me. I know I have Camponotus in the area, as I see the occasional worker or major.

Re: Oregon/Washington Ant Sightings Post Here!!!
I've spotted Tetramorium sp., Camponotus sp., and some other ant I haven't identified (small, yellowish, very round abdomens) foraging around. Flights will probably start soon with the way the weather is going.

Re: Help with Oregon
I'm in Vancouver Washington. Not many ants around yet where I'm at either. I think they just haven't really started coming out, maybe due to the intense winter we had.

I still haven't spotted anything, but I've noticed some other insects start making their moves.

Re: Vancouver/Washington/USA - 9/28/16
...If they are that would explain why the workers killed her, but not why I found them all in the same chamber... Is it possible she was a parasite queen?Canadiananter wrote:Are you sure they aren't different species?
While I agree that the workers are tetramorium, queen looks like aphaenogaster
