https://i.imgur.com/RKwcqv0.jpg My friend found three of these ladies clung onto some grass above what can only really be described as a slaughter field of their own kind. She said there were about twenty or thirty of the same species, all alates, scattered around below and killed by a species of r...

Re: Emegency
Let's make a summary post for our learning fellow ant lover. 1. Check no more than once a week for a few moments at a time. The dark makes ants feel safe since they live subterranean lifestyles. 2. Get the ants identified. You won't know what to do with them if you don't get them identified, as you ...

Here are the links required for the game. I ran out of space in the above post to place them due to the character limit: Here is a link to the blog post with the free, full version: http://lordofthestack.com/blog-entries/antrush-returns These following files, however, are also necessary, due to the ...

AntRush!
I have recently discovered that a small game once thought lost to the depths of the endlessly growing internet has been dragged back to the surface by its creator. I wish to share it with fellow ant lovers so that it might see the light of day again. AntRush is a top-down RTS where the player takes ...

Re: Fun Concepts for an Imaginary Game
No it's fine, but I'll certainly figure out the logistics of it when I have the time. Right now, I need ideas for those traits if I'm going to make this a thing.

Re: Fun Concepts for an Imaginary Game
Well, Evolution does have a trait exchanging system so maybe I can do that for the needing to evolve. Hummm, interesting idea...Either way, I'd need a massive list of traits for each kind of insect before I could consider it. Bees won't exactly have any need for the ant's hooked jaws trait, nor will...

Fun Concepts for an Imaginary Game
A while back, I was randomly thinking about how amazing it would be if RTS games could become Massively Multiplayer. This is next to impossible to do of course, since it would have to utilize a system like the Total War games of recruiting armies in an overworld and only battling with them when they...

Re: OH-KY-IN-IL-MI Nuptial Flight Sightings
Haven't been able to find anything in the past few days. I've only seen two queens this summer and on both occasions I was not able to capture them. I just went out after the rain we had a few days ago and even then still nothing. Anyone having better luck recently?

I agree but these two were on death's door step. One was stuck in a literal loop and the other was nearly torn in two. I just helped the inevitable.
