Thanks for measurements! Is it possible at all to get clearer photos? It could be either Camponotus or Iridomyrmex.

A terrarium formicarium functions as both. But what should I go with as a beginner? They are actually cheaper, as aquariums don't require you to pay large sums of money for a formicarium. They work for everything from a queen to mature colony. Plants, rocks, and sticks can be added to give the soil...

That is irrelevant since we have had Iridomyrmyx flights the past two weeks in NSW.

In Australia we have had quite wacky weather.
While a possibility, I am still skeptical. I want measurements before any guesses are made.
