Lasius flavus is native to a lot of U.S. states, yet I am not saying that it is right to order even a native species. There are actually no Lasius flavus in North America. Ours turned out to be a new species, Lasius brevicornis . Hopefully this adds to the point that it is irrelevant whether or not...

I'm a registered GAN farmer and have seemingly been discounted from the "Ants For Sale" page on AntsCanada's website, despite other "farmers" without colonies available being listed.

I would not think native ants would pose a threat to nature. It is not like a human house is very far removed from the outside. If your ants have a disease it could very easily get out even if you do not release them via the trash you throw away in the garbage from your ants, Via escapees and also ...

I'm not sure about Thailand, but it is definitely illegal in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia in addition to the U.S.
