I had such high hopes yesterday after it looked like it showered but it turned into a wind storm with snow where I was.there was even a pipes freezing warning out.

Its raining in the Sunvalley and Stead area (I don't know where else). I've looked around and I can't find much on what seeds to feed and what time to feed my Harvester Queen.Much of the info I've found was for raising the queen in a large tub and feeding the workers to reptiles but in the info sheet it didn't say what seeds and what times to feed the queen. Also keep away ANY ant that looks fluffy fluffy.
Its mostly likely a velvet ant (aka wasp mimicking a ant,they have wings so they will look like queens),we have a LOT of them in Nevada.

I live in Nevada (around the Reno area) and I just found a Harvester ant queen so don't lose hope!

Darn ,I'll see if I can keep her but I don't know...I am planning on going out again today when its a bit darker (it's September but its still pretty hot here in Nevada)
