Congrats man, I just got back from my cottage and I caught a Formica fusca queen and a Camponotus noveboracensis queen.

Thanks man, I will put a drop of honey and a darkling beetle leg in there in a few days so I can give her a chance to adjust to test tube life.

Hey guys I was up at my cottage when I lifted up a bed of moss and I found a Camponotus noveboracensis queen and I had to just snatch her up. The problem was that I was not able to grab any of the eggs or larva (she had no workers). I this a problem, will she lay eggs in a test tube now, and should ...

Queen ant in London Ontario

Hey guys I was cutting my grass when I came upon a queen on my driveway in London Ontario. Her body is mostly dark brown and she just chills in the center of the test tube most of the time and she is 9-10mm long. Darkling beetles as ant food

Hey guys so I just had a crazy idea, would Darkling beetles (adult mealworms) be a good protein source for ants? I was just wondering because I have a ton of the little beetles and I am looking for a new protein source for my ants.

Just another question, In mt outworld I used some Elmer's glue (the white glue you used as a kid) to glue some things down, the outworld now has a strong glue like smell and I need to know if this is safe for my ants. This may have been a stupid question but I am still new to this.
