Just been thinking since my last posts, does anyone know if I could brood boost a myrmica rubra queen.
My mind says it might work due to polygyne but I dunno so any help on the subject would be much appreciated

I caught a myrmica rubra queen last autumn and have been looking around at different info sources and they all tell me different things about the care and founding of them. Any one have any good advice about founding with myrmica rubra as I am getting worried that she has no workers and keeps eating...

Unfortunately not she also decided that the other need not exist so I'm going to try the mesh door method.

I'm also wondering if I might it a go with my myrmica rubra queen as they are polygynous so I may get better results or would you not recommend it with them as they sting.

1 worker seemed OK so I added another the next day an they killed it instantly so am trying about 2-3 days after the see if they accept it.

Just tried 1 worker will post my findings
